Artist's Statement:

-- One must be on guard against "perfect" imperfection. It becomes a style rather than a realization.
-- If art is self referential, it is an accident, it can't be helped. Do not hold yourself as your own aim.
-- If art is therapeutic, that quality should be incidental.
-- Paint what you find authentic.
-- Create what is beautiful: give it away, it isn't yours, it is you.

Biography:

Born in Cincinnati, OH; Education: Studied stone sculpture and sho (brush calligraphy) in Japan; studied painting, printmaking, and drawing in England, Austria, and Germany.
